The Loop London


Challenge description
​
The Loop London is a 170 mile non-stop ultra following a modified version of ‘The London Loop’ trail starting and finishing at Cockfosters station with a time limit of 45 hours.
​
We will be running clockwise following the London Loop markers and GPX. At around 35 miles you will follow the modified route towards Londons Docklands/Canary Wharf area then through the Greenwich foot tunnel under the Thames.
​
Once at the other side you will pass the Cutty Sark and loop around the Millennium Dome and head out past the Thames barrier to rejoin the London Loop markers at Erith. The route is mainly trail with urban elements to keep you on your toes.

Minimal support is provided for the experienced only. This is a fast flowing ultra with strict internal checkpoint cutoffs of 3.8 mph. Minimal pre-requisite is a 100 miler.
Limited to 25-30 places ONLY.

Registration information
Start time late Friday afternoon TBA.

Start/Finish location Cockfosters station. We recommend drop offs or taking a train to the start point, but cars can be left at a cost.

No refunds, no deferrals.

You must not come if you feel unwell/have any Covid symptoms.

Runners are allowed to use shops, pubs etc to top up supplies so there is an element of self support.

The start/finish has toilets in the station and at a nearby garage.

Runners will be allowed to access one small drop bag at around 100 miles. Drop bags will be put on the van at the start. There will be no option to retrieve your bag after this until the halfway point or finish.

We do not post drop bags if you abandon the event.

No external support is allowed.

No sticks/walking poles are allowed.

No headphones are allowed.

No pacers.

Runners are recommended to ‘buddy up’ with each other during night sections.

There is no scope for picking up runners that drop out of the event/DNF. However, this is London and you should be prepared to UBER/Taxi to the nearest station/your destination.
